      Tour Details

      Wood carving is a traditional Nepali art of carving finished sculptures of wooden objects using a knife and chisel. This ancient craft is practiced in Bungamati, located 10 kms south of Kathmandu. The place is owned by a local named Rakesh who has been carving for 12 years and learnt the trade from his father. You can watch and take part in the carving of the items of your choice if you are interested to learn.

      Day 1,Sightseeing of Bungamati and Learn Wood Carving

       

      • Pick up in the morning
      • Drive to Bungamati (approx. 40 mins)
      • Sightseeing and briefing on the history of the traditional town
      • Watch and participate to learn how to carve wooden statues, handicrafts etc. of your choice
      • Return back to the hotel
