      Introduction

      This trek is a spectacular journey on foot to the South Face of Annapurna I – an amazing walk through diverse landscape and culture, complete with rich mountain vistas, terraced fields, quaint Gurung villages and a wide variety of flora and fauna. Mt. Annapurna (8091m) of Nepal is the 10th highest mountain in the world and the journey to its base camp, which is at 4130m/13549 ft height, is one of the most popular walks on earth. Moreover, we reach our destination via Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), which is revered by the Nepalese for its unique beauty. Furthermore, thanks to the well groomed itinerary of the Annapurna Base Camp trekking package, it is a popular choice among diverse outdoor enthusiasts, from a solo female travelers to hikers traveling in groups to Nepal.

      Explore the way upstream along the Modhi River into the Annapurna Sanctuary, a valley surrounded by towering Himalayan peaks including the breathtaking Fishtail and Annapurna Peak!

       


      Guidelines!

      • A travel insurance policy that covers medical treatment is recommended for all tourists.

      • We recommend that you undertake training programs to be physically fit if you plan to go high-altitude trekking or mountaineering when you’re visiting Nepal.
      • Please make sure that salads and fruits are washed with purified water or peeled when eating out.
      • Beware of food that has been kept out in the open for long.
      • Always make sure that your water is clean by opting for boiled and then cooled water, treated water or sealed water from reputed brand.
      • Always carry a bottle of water when trekking or venturing off away from the city/ town.
      • Always carry and use mosquito repellant when in Terai region or during summers

      Day 1,Fly Kathmandu to Pokhara, drive to Tikhedhunga and trek to Ulleri (2073m/6801ft)

       

      After an early morning start, you will fly 25 mins to Pokhara. Pokhara is a beautiful lakeside town. On arrival, you will drive 2 hrs through the stunning terraced farms along the Bhurungdi Khola (River) to Tikhedhunga (1570m) where you will have a nourishing lunch. Lunch is a usually long and relaxing affair throughout your trip, which gives you ample time to write a diary, wash, explore the area or simply stretch your legs and enjoy the atmosphere. Right after, the hike starts passing through Sudame and Hile villages and ends at Ulleri.

      Day 2,Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani (2860m/9383ft)

       

      Today's trek will be exciting as the trail slowly ascends and you can savor the views of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Hiunchuli snow peaks. As we walk through the Rhododendron forest, we can see several wild animals, refreshing springs and rivers. The path then leads us to Ghorepani, which is a spectacular settlement that lies on a ridge-line. The views of the Himalayas from this village are breathtaking, allowing heavenly sights of Dhaulagiri I, II, III, IV, V, Tukuche, Dhampus, Nilgiri, Annapurna South and Barah Sikhar. So take time to enjoy the magnificence!

      Day 3,Early morning hike to Poon Hill Viewpoint (3210m/10531ft) then trek to Tadapani (2630m/8628ft)

       

      If you love sunrises, today is your day. Early in the morning before sunrise, we ascend to Poon Hill, just in time to view the sunrise over the Himalayas. You can see dawn breaking at more than 32 Annapurna ranges along with Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Machhapuchre mountains. Poon Hill is a famous spot for photography, so we will make the most by clicking pictures to our heart's content. After spending time on Poon Hill, we descend to our lodge, have our breakfast and start the trek to Tadapani.

      Day 4,Trek from Tadapani to Chomrong (2165m/7103ft)

       

      We wake up early, have breakfast and continue our journey to Chomrong. We pass the beautiful Ghandruk Village and then take a steep descent to Kimron River. On the way, you will be able to see mind-blowing views of Annapurna South and Fishtail. Chomrong village lies on the lap of the mighty Annapurna massif and is a popular overnight spot for those ascending to Annapurna Base Camp.

      Day 5,Trek from Chomrong to Himalaya (2890m/9481ft)

       

      Today's trek is going to be a bit longer. We follow the trail down to Chomrong Khola on steep stones but then the path starts to go up through the Bamboo, Oak and Rhododendron forests. From the trails, you get to enjoy the views of Machhapuchhre and Annapurna snow caps. The trail passes Khuldigar village, descends to Bamboo Lodge settlements and ascends one more time to Himalaya.

      Trek Time: 6-7 hrs; Trek Distance: 14 kms/8.7 miles

       

      Day 6,Trek from Himalaya to ABC (4130m/13549ft) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp

       

      We follow a route through the narrow gorge along the Modi Khola Glacier Valley, passing a large overhanging rock known as Hinku Cave before making it to the entryway of the Annapurna Sanctuary, which ultimately takes us to ABC. Throughout the day, we will be walking close by the Annapurna glaciers. On our way, Machhapuchhre Base Camp offers us a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding mountains. However, we continue our journey northwest to eventually reach Annapurna Base Camp.

      From ABC, we get a 360-degree view of Hiunchuli, Annapurna Massif (1-4), Khangsar Kang, Gangapurna and Machhapuchhare. Today's trek also takes you close to several huge mountains - Dhaulagiri, Ma, Manaslu, Tilicho, Pisang, Paungda Danda and numerous others ranging from 6000 to 8000m in elevation. It will be the day you will never forget due to the sheer beauty of snow-capped mountains that surrounds you.A layover day here provides you the opportunity to walk up the Annapurna Base Camp and explore the amazing peaks and glaciers. Walk back to the camp for lunch.

      Day 7,Trek from ABC to Bamboo (2350m/7709ft)

       

      After leaving our footprints on ABC, it is time to retrace your steps down. We take a path that takes us out of the Annapurna Sanctuary and the Modi River Valley. Eventually, we make it to our serene stopover point called Bamboo (2,350m) - our destination for the day.

      Trek Time: 6 hrs; Trek Distance: 15 kms/9.3 miles

       

      Day 8,Trek to Jhinu Danda (1780m/5840ft) and nearby natural hot springs

       

      We take a path that takes us down to Kimrong Khola and then ascends through the serene Rhododendron, Bamboo and Oak forests eventually reaching Jhinu Danda. It consistently attracts thousands of visitors each year as an exotic place famous for its soothing natural hot springs, where we also let our tired muscles relax. From the hot springs, you can enjoy the views of the Rhododendron forest and lush vegetation.

      Trek Time: 5-6 hrs; Trek Distance: 11 kms/6.8 miles

       

      Day 9,Trek to Syauli Bazaar (1170m/3839ft) and drive to Pokhara

       

      We reach our final day on the trekking trails. This part of the trek forms the most relaxing walk of the entire trip. We follow the plain dust road along the Modi River to reach Ghandruk and to Syauli Bazaar where we bid goodbye to the trails and drive through the picturesque countryside to Pokhara. You can enjoy some free time on your own exploring the buzzing tourist market and nightlife with many lakeside restaurants and shops in Pokhara. You can take a massage, buy souvenirs and shop.

      Day 10,Fly Pokhara to Kathmandu

       

      After breakfast, we transfer to the airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Our representative will transfer you to the hotel.
