      Tour Details

      Upper Mustang 4WD Jeep Tour is a famous trip to the forbidden kingdom of Mustang region, situated behind the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Mountains. It is a tranquil outing package for those travel enthusiasts who really desire to discover Nepal’s Himalayas with thrilling cross-country experience and fascinating landscapes alongside ancient rich archeological sites in the Trekking region. It is specially designed with 4X4 vehicle trips into the trans-Himalayas area and has been an alternative journey to the Upper Mustang Trek.

       

      Package includes:

      • All transportation services during Mustang tour  by 4X4 JEEP (Private Tour) with airport transfers.
      •  Flight Kathmandu – Pokhara – Kathmandu including all fees.
      • All necessary permits, fees and taxes: Normal trekking permit,  National park entrance fees, Special Upper Mustang Royalty (US$500  per person).
      • 2 nights stay at hotel in Pokhara on bed and breakfast basis.
      • 3 nights stay at hotel in Kathmandu on bed and breakfast basis.
      • Mustang tour staying in simple but clean and hygienic Lodges (you can also bring  your own sleeping bag) and all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
      •  English speaking expert guide to accompany you throughout the whole tour including all his expenses.

      Guidelines!

      • A travel insurance policy that covers medical treatment is recommended for all tourists.
      • Similarly, we recommend you to make sure that the insurance covers activities such as trekking, rafting etc. that you will be undertaking during your stay in Nepal
      • Getting special vaccinations are not necessary when visiting Nepal.
      • We still recommend that you consult with your physician regarding special immunizing against any tropical disease.
      • We recommend that you undertake training programs to be physically fit if you plan to go high-altitude trekking or mountaineering when you’re visiting Nepal.
      • Please make sure that salads and fruits are washed with purified water or peeled when eating out.
      • Beware of food that has been kept out in the open for long.
      • Always make sure that your water is clean by opting for boiled and then cooled water, treated water or sealed water from reputed brand.
      • Always carry a bottle of water when trekking or venturing off away from the city/ town.
      • Always carry and use mosquito repellant when in Terai region or during summers
      • We provide a handy medical first aid kit while travelling anytime with us

      Day 1,Arrival in Kathmandu

       

      Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our representative will meet and greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

      Day 2,Heritage tour of Pashupati Temple, Bouddha Stupa and Bhaktapur City

       

      Full day sightseeing of UNESCO Heritage Sites Bouddhanath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Bhaktapur City

       

      Bouddhanath, built in the 14th century is the world’s largest stupa and the holiest Buddhist temple outside Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu with rich Buddhist symbolism, architecture and a site of great veneration for Buddhists. It remains an important place of pilgrimage and meditation for Tibetan Buddhists and local Nepalis. 

      Pashupatinath Temple, the largest temple complex in Nepal is one of the four most important religious sites for devotees of God Shiva. Built in the 5th century and later renovated, its  main pagoda style temple has a gilded roof, four sides covered in silver and exquisite wood carvings.

      Bhaktapur Durbar Square, in the medieval city of Bhaktapur with its ancient temples, monuments and palaces are magnificent examples of Newari craftsmanship with their beautiful carved wooden windows and latticework. Their people are still renowned for their pottery and hand woven fabrics, including the traditional local red and black saris.

      Day 3,Fly (25 mins) from Kathmandu to Pokhara (815 m) and sightseeing

       

      After breakfast, morning flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Upon arrival, we are rewarded with magnificent closeup views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri, Manaslu and Machhapuchhre, two of which are over 8000 meters.

       

      Pokhara occupies a broad fertile valley in Nepal’s central hills, south of the Annapurna Massif. Deep gorges created by the rivers, temples and monasteries of varied heritage, boating and photographing scenic reflections of the Annapurna mountains in Phewa lake and enjoying the famous Lakeside night-life market are the major attractions

       

      We check-in to our hotel, relax for a bit and begin sightseeing of World Peace Pagoda, David's Fall, Old Bazaar and evening Boating in Phewa Lake.

       

      World Peace Pagoda, a massive Buddhist stupa is situated on top of a hill on the southern shore of Phewa Lake. Besides being an impressive sight in itself, the Buddhist shrine is a great vantage point which offers spectacular views of the Annapurna range and Pokhara City.

      David's Fall is a charming waterfall located very close to Gupteswar Gupha, a mysteriously sacred cave that holds special value for Hindus since a phallic symbol of Lord Shiva is perfectly preserved here in the condition it was discovered in.

      Phewa Lake The view of Machhapuchhre reflected in the lake, the Tal Barahi temple in the island middle of the lake, the white stupa on the top of a hill, the paragliders jumping from Sarangkot, the Ultra-light aircrafts soaring up high, all at once can be seized in the mild breeze over the lake.

       

      In the evening, we stroll around the famous Lakeside market with its lively shopping street, restaurants and enjoy dinner.

      Day 4,Drive to Lete ( 5-6 hrs, 2600m) via Beni Bazaar by 4WD Jeep

       

      After breakfast, morning drive from Pokhara to Lete via Beni Bazaar which is the headquarter of Myagdi district. We pass snaking roads of high hills through small markets, villages, rivers and rice fields on the way. The off-road trip stars from Beni through a bank of Kali Gandaki River.

      Day 5,Drive (5-6 hrs) to Kagbeni via Muktinath Sightseeing (2900m) with Village Tour of Marpha

       

       The journey starts to Kagbeni through the bank of Kaligandaki River and Kaligandaki canyon (world's deepest gorge). We drive to Marpha and take a short walk exploring the beautiful villlage and pass Jomsom, a famous local town. Then we head to a popular holy temple of Muktinath, where you can see the 108 spout water taps, Buddhist monastery, natural fire (lighting itself), stunning Himalayan views of Tukuche, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri peaks and Tibetan traditional activities. We drive to Kagbeni.

      Day 6,Drive (5-6 hrs) to Ghami Village (3530m) with sightseeings of villages, monuments, landscapes on the way

       

      Before departing to Ghami Village, we finish document procedures of Special Entrance Permit to Upper Mustang. After exploring Buddhist school and monastery of Kagbeni, we drive through ancient Buddhist Stupas, the old stunning village of Chuksung, Chella, Samar, Syangboche, Bhina, and Ghiling stopping by for sightseeing. The day will more exciting to see local traditional houses with Yak caravan, splendid landscape, Tibetan Buddhist culture and local daily lifestyles and finally reach Ghami village.

      Day 7,Drive (3-4 hrs) to Lo-Manthang (3840m)

       

      The journey onwards is filled with incredible sightseeing and local activities with the inordinate chance to explore amazing panoramas of nature throughout the drive. During the trip, you can enjoy visiting ancient old monastery and the local town of Mustang.

      Highlights: Visit Lo Gager Ghar Gompa, Charang monastery, Thubchen Gompa- built in the late 15th century, Lo-Mangthang town, Chodey Gompa - famous for Monastic Museum and the main attraction Gompa of town, Jampa Gompa- also popular as the God house and the oldest monastery built in the early 15th century. Also explore Buddhist teaching school, old King Palace, local domestic Yaks, mules, horses and cattle caravans, landscape and mountain vistas from the edges.

      Day 8,Full day sightseeing in Lo-Manthang

       

      Excursion day in Lo-Manthang where you will explore the exclusive village and monasteries in the trip. Full day sightseeing of Namgyal, Chhosar and NYFU monastery, Khangchuling and Jhong cave, Tingkat and Namgyal village. We also experience the Tibetan Buddhist culture, interact with local people and their activities.

      Day 9,Drive (5-6 hrs) back to Samar Village

       

      Today, you drive back to Samar village passing Tibetan Buddhist monasteries on the way, crossing Kaligandaki River and local activities during the journey.

      Day 10,Drive (6hrs) to Tatopani

       

      Today, sightseeing includes: Experience of local traditional Tibetan culture, small Kagbeni village, Jomsom bazaar, visit Thini village, snow leopard cave, Dhumba Lake, local activities and Kaligandaki River.

      Overnight in a guest house. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

       

      Day 11,Driver (5-6hrs) to Pokhara

       

      After breakfast, we drive back to Pokhara via Kaligandaki river and george, Beni bazaar, small villages along the winding offroad of high hills. You can see small markets, lush forests and rivers on the way.

      Overnight at your hotel in Pokhara. Meals: Breakfast and lunch

       

      Day 12,Fly (25 mins) Pokhara – Kathmandu and free time

       

      After breakfast, we fly transfer to the airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Rest of the day at leisure. Evening Farewell dinner program with cultural dance and folk songs at our Heritage Restaurant Bhojan Griha. (www.bhojangriha.com)
